こんにちは、Rayです。私はドイツで音楽の勉強をしている大学院生で、オーボエという楽器を専攻しています。

ドイツ中西部・ベルギー・オランダで大雨、洪水が発生したと聞きました。私のいる地域は大丈夫でしたが、被害を受けた地域の中には私が訪れたことのある場所もあり、心が痛んでいます。広範囲を襲った災害なので、家屋損壊などの被害を受けた日本の方も多くいらっしゃることと思います。該当地域にお住まいの方々の無事を祈るばかりです。

先日、私は新型コロナウイルスのワクチンを接種しました。今回の記事ではドイツのワクチン状況で私が知っていることと、私のワクチン体験談を書きます。

ドイツのワクチン接種

ドイツでは日本より少し早い昨年12月末からワクチン接種が始まりました。高齢の方から順に接種が進み、6月初めには年齢別の優先順位がなくなりました。今は16歳以上なら誰でもワクチンを受けられます。現時点で、ドイツ国内で認められているワクチンはファイザー（ドイツでの呼び名はバイオンテック・ファイザー）、モデルナ、アストラゼネカとジョンソンエンドジョンソン製です。

2021年7月現在、ワクチンの供給が追い付いてきたのか、少なくとも私のいる地域ではワクチンの予約は取りやすくなってきたようです。

私のワクチン接種

私は６月中旬に1回目、２週間前に2回目の接種を受けました。年齢別の優先順位がなくなった日にワクチンの申し込みをしましたが、接種の予約を取るのは思ったより大変なことでした。

ワクチンは、街のワクチンセンターまたはかかりつけ医で接種してもらえます。街のホームページにあったリンクでワクチンセンターへの申し込みをしたものの、「接種日が決まったらメールでお知らせします」という状態から約１ヶ月音沙汰なしでした。私のかかりつけ医では順番待ちリストの4ページ目まで埋まっていて、1回目接種まで最低でも１ヶ月半は待つことになるだろうと言われました。

全く接種機会が見つからない数日間でしたが、最終的にワクチンが足りているクリニックが見つかり、6月中旬に1回目の接種を受けることができました。友人からは、周辺のクリニックほぼ全てに電話してやっと空いている場所を見つけたという話も聞いたので、早く接種したかった人は皆苦労していたようです。

ただこれは6月の話で、7月現在はワクチンの供給が以前より安定しているのではと感じています。時々大学メールには「○○病院で何日の何時からワクチンを受けられます。」「今週別のクリニックでは、うちの音大生は優先的に受けられます。」「ワクチンセンターでは予約なしでその日に行っても接種を受けられます。」などといった案内が回ってきます。大学の友人からもワクチンを打った話を聞くようになりました。

接種後の状況

1回目

私はバイオンテック・ファイザー社のワクチンを打ってもらいました。接種の瞬間は0.5秒くらいで、あっという間でした。「痛いかなあ」とドキドキしている時の記憶のほうがはっきりしています。

出血もほぼ無く、医師がガーゼを貼るのに注射跡を探すくらいでした。接種後15分くらいクリニックで過ごした後、帰途に着きました。

接種して3時間ほど経ってから腕が少し重くなったことを感じ、寝る前のシャワーやドライヤーで腕を上にあげる度にピリッと筋肉痛がありました。この筋肉痛は翌々日まで続きました。

接種から24時間が経つ頃、熱はないものの全身に鈍いだるさを感じました。その時はオーボエ練習の手を止めて数時間横になって休みましたが、その後は普段通りの生活を送ることができました。

2回目

1回目から3週間の日を空けて、2回目を打ってもらいました。初回と同じように注射は一瞬で終わり、念のために15分安静にした後クリニックを出ました。

接種してから数時間は何事もなく、3時間後くらいから徐々に腕が重くなっていくのを感じたこと、注射場所の腕の筋肉痛がその後3日間続いたことは、1回目の接種時と変わりません。

困ったのが接種翌日でした。接種から12時間が経った翌日の朝からどうにも頭が働かず、風邪の時のような頭痛と全身のだるさがありました。頭痛薬を飲んでも改善せず、ピーク時は体温が平熱より1.5度上昇しました。症状は丸1日続き、その日は何もせず寝て過ごしました。（不思議なことに普通に具合が悪い時と違って食欲が止まらなくなりました。私と一緒に接種を受けた友人も同じように言っていたので、私だけ変？ではなさそうです。）

接種翌々日も全身がぼーっとしていて、まだ本調子ではありませんでした。この日もよく食べよく寝て、少し読書やオーボエの練習をする、という一日を過ごしました。

接種を振り返って

電車で自宅から1.5時間ほどかかる離れたクリニックでワクチン接種を受けた私は、接種後の移動が心配でした。接種前はタクシーで帰ることも考えましたが、1,2回目ともに電車で元気に帰宅しました。接種後数時間は何の副反応も出なかったため、むしろワクチン接種を済ませた解放感と安心感で、同行した友人と楽しく過ごしたほどでした。

当日の夜にシャワーを浴びたりお酒を飲んだりしても症状の悪化などはありませんでした。

ただ接種後の数日間しっかりと副反応があったので、これからワクチンを受ける方にはぜひ、1,2回目とも接種前に大切な用事は終わらせて、接種から2~3日は時間と心に余裕を持っておくことをお勧めします。

バイオンテック・ファイザーのワクチンを受けてから2週間経つとワクチン接種済みとしてみなされて、接種手帳を提示することでドイツで屋内の施設に入るのに求められる抗原検査結果の提出義務がなくなります。またドイツで運用開始されたアプリに接種情報を保存すれば、紙の証明書を持ち歩かずに済むそうです。このような仕組みでドイツ国内のワクチン接種を推進していくらしい、と聞きました。

まとめ

ワクチンを接種するかどうか、ということは世界各国で重要な話題となっています。音楽留学中の私はこれから先移動が多くなることを考えて、副反応のリスク覚悟でワクチン接種を受けました。留学生の私にドイツ国民との区別なくワクチン接種の機会が回ってきたことはありがたいですし、このようにして社会の集団免疫を徐々に獲得できるといいなと思っています。ただし変異株の脅威もありますし、ワクチンを打ったからと安心せずこれからも気を付けて行動したいと思っています。
